We are a husband-and-wife team and every tour is personally guided by us.

We go where the wildlife takes us, focus on what our guests enjoy most, and never rush the experience or watch the clock.

We are a locally owned kayak ecotour company based in Fort Pierce, offering small-group and fully private guided experiences throughout the Indian River Estuary, Fort Pierce Inlet, and surrounding waterways.

We intentionally operate as a small, owner-led business so every tour remains personal, flexible, and connected to nature.

Our passion for the outdoors runs deep—from kayaking through the Everglades, Florida Keys, national parks, and the Treasure Coast, to years spent exploring Florida’s waterways and wildlife.

After retiring, Mark guided for a large franchised kayak company, earning consistent five-star reviews for his knowledge, easygoing style, and passion for sharing the water with others. Over time, we realized there was so much more guests could experience beyond standard launch points and short, fixed routes.

Many of the most beautiful areas of the estuary can only be reached through local knowledge, varied launch locations, and longer exploratory tours.

That experience shaped what we created today: a more personal and immersive way to explore Florida’s coastal ecosystem.

We founded Rivers to Ocean Kayaking to offer something different—private and personalized eco tours through both iconic and hidden waterways throughout Fort Pierce.
